The Serpent On The Pole: Covid-19 reveals the sin and judgment of, and healing from, the Covid-19 pandemic and vaccines. In 2020 the world changed: a spirit of fear fell upon people. Then came divisions – divisions among families, friends, communities, and nations. It certainly was a test of faith. But there is hope: The answer to healing is in the pages of our Scriptures, because the healing power of Yeshua is hidden in the Word of Elohim (God)!
In 2020 when the pandemic began, The Ruach Kodesh (Holy Spirit) began showing me how the Covid-19 vaccine was similar to the bite of the fiery serpents in Numbers chapter 21. In my blog The Spirits of Yehovah: The Evil Spirits I touched on this topic, that the bite of the serpents can be compared to the Covid-19 shots. Review Numbers chapter 21! Notice that judgment came upon the children of Israel after they complained about the miraculous manna provided them each day:
And the people spoke against Elohim (God) and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this despicable bread.” So Yehovah sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died. Therefore, the people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against Yehovah and against you; pray to Yehovah that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people. Then Yehovah said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on the pole. And it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole. And so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.Numbers 21:5-9 (emphasis mine)
Covid-19, Serpent On The Pole
The serpent on the pole, then, was intended for those bitten by the fiery serpents. However, during the days of King Hezekiah of Judah, the children of Israel lost sight of Yehovah, burning incense (i.e., “making prayers,” Revelation 8:4-5) to that serpent. Hezekiah, a righteous man, in turn destroyed the serpent on the pole (for no one should pray to any object: Exodus 20:4-5, 2 Kings 18:1-4).
Remember, the serpent on the pole was built for those bitten by the fiery serpents. And, it undoubtedly remained as a reminder to the people of what had happened in the wilderness. Yet in 2 Kings chapter 18 we find the children of Israel looking up to that serpent on the pole during Hezekiah’s day. Why? Was it actually healing the afflictions of the people?
Loss Of Faith, Then Judgment
Today we have something similar occurring – people losing sight of Yehovah, then praying to the medical and pharmaceutical industry for their healing (i.e., to the serpent on the pole). What is the root cause of this panic? Not putting our trust in Yehovah! So, again, fearful people are complaining, and not believing.
During the pandemic, people driven to panic received injections of the minimally tested Covid-19 shots, and many died or are suffering greatly from the side effects. In fact, Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH, a well-known cardiologist, said, “Out of 325 autopsy cases, they found a total of 240 deaths (73.9%) were independently adjudicated as directly due to or significantly contributed to by COVID-19 vaccination.” That’s a highly significant number of deaths from a vaccine purported to keep people safe and healthy!
Consider articles written about the covid-19 shots: The New York Post reported that “getting Covid-19 is similar to getting bitten by a rattlesnake.”1 Also, consider that some physicians and scientists say that “the Covid-19 injections contain snake venom.”2
These examples show similarities to the bites of the fiery serpents! Let’s review the details of this statement and compare them to Scripture.
Manna From Heaven
Because they complained daily, we know that the children of Israel grew tired of eating manna. Comparatively, the B’rit Chadashah (New Testament) manna is Yeshua, as described in John chapter 6, when the people demanded a sign:
“I am the living bread which came down out of the heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever. And indeed, the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”John 6:51 (emphasis mine)
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies: To him who overcomes I shall give some of the hidden manna to eat.”Revelation 2:17a (emphasis mine)
Yeshua is the Living Bread from heaven – a provision for the children of Israel, the prophesied Prophet “like unto Moses.” Consider the following verses:
“Yehovah your Elohim shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brothers. Listen to (shema) Him, according to all you asked of Yehovah your Elohim in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of Yehovah my Elohim, nor let me see this great fire any more, lest I die.’ And Yehovah said to me, ‘What they have spoken is good. I shall raise up for them a Prophet like you out of the midst of their brothers. And I shall put my Words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.'”Deuteronomy 18:15-18 (emphasis mine) (see also Acts 3:22-23, 7:37)
When comparing these with Numbers chapter 21, we now see several things lining up in Scripture! We see the manna, Moses; then, the grumbling, complaints, the unbelief. We have Yeshua Messiah, the living manna. Yeshua is the promised prophet like Moses, yet people no longer trust Elohim (God)! People complain about the manna provided through Yeshua, while “praying” to the medical and pharmaceutical industry serpents on the pole. People have turned their faith away from Yehovah Elohim!
What has happened? “Fiery serpents” were sent to bite the people; some have died, and some are suffering greatly. But there is hope for those who truly desire it!
Serpent On The Pole: Covid-19 Drug Sorcery
Another interesting comparison to Numbers 21 is the word כֶּשֶׁף (kesef), meaning “sorceries” in Isaiah 47:12, having the Greek equivalent φαρμακείᾳ (pharmakeia), also used to describe the daughter of Babylon in chapter 18 of Revelation:
And the light of a lamp shall not shine in you any more at all. And the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you any more at all. For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, for by your drug sorcery all the nations were led astray.Revelation 18:23 (emphasis mine)
The Covid-19 shots are pharmaceuticals (i.e., “spell-giving potions”). Many seem mesmerized, in many hazardous ways. Too many drugs are routinely prescribed, and too many have developed a love for pharmaceuticals! Doesn’t it appear that sorcery has been used against the peoples of the world, so that they can be coerced into taking something that does not have healing as a result?
So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole. And it came to be, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.Numbers 21:9
Lifting Up Yeshua
For the wages of sin is death, but the favourable gift of Elohim is everlasting life in Messiah Yeshua our Master.Romans 6:23
Notice, below, that Yeshua compares himself to the bronze serpent that was lifted up on the pole. The bronze serpent represented judgment and sin. Yeshua was judged, punished, nailed to a tree: He took upon himself the death sentence required of each us for our sins.
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so the Son of Adam (man) has to be lifted up, so that whoever is believing in Him should not perish, but possess everlasting life.”3
In fact, Yeshua said several times that he is to be lifted up or, rather, exalted from the earth:
ואני לפי שנתרוממתי מן הארץ נתקבצו כל העולם אצלי׃
“When I am lifted up from the earth, the whole world will be gathered to me.”3John 12:32 (emphasis mine)
We have all made mistakes, losing our faith from time to time. But for us to experience healing, there is hope!
Bronze represents judgment. Yeshua took our punishment for unknown sins. For deliberate sin after we’ve received the knowledge of Truth, there is no offering (Hebrews 10:26).
But instead of daily complaining, we must pray for mercy and grace daily!
Whether one is suffering from the effects of the infection or from the Covid-19 injections, Yeshua is the answer to “the bite of the serpent.” We must trust in him for the healing of our illnesses and ill conditions!
Furthermore, whenever a judgment or a test of faith is upon us, we must turn back to Yehovah, repent, and receive redemption.4 By doing so, we are looking to Yeshua for our healing! In fact, Yeshua healed everyone who came to him, Matthew 12:15b.
The Steps To Healing
How do we lift up Yeshua, today? By going to Yehovah through the following steps. We don’t physically have Yeshua walking with us today, but we can receive daily healing and deliverance through Scripture:
- Repent: We must repent and make changes to our lifestyle. We must ask forgiveness for falling short, for lacking faith, for complaining about the living manna, which is Yeshua.
- Building Faith: We must continue the process of building our emunah (faith). The fundamental way to build our faith is by hearing the Word: For faith comes by hearing the Word of Elohim (God), Romans 10:17. For this reason, scriptures must be read aloud daily. Begin by reading 15 minutes a day with the goal of, at a minimum, one hour a day.
- To demonstrate the power of Yehovah’s Word, the Father gave to me a dream on April 20, 2022. In my dream I saw an instructional book. When I opened and read the book, I read the following words: 1) “When you read My Word aloud over and over, you receive a major impact, as like a tornado.” 2) “If you sing My Word aloud all day long, over and over, you receive a seriously huge, major impact, as like a hurricane!” Wow!!
- Prayer: Again, pray daily, setting aside a place and time. Don’t have prayer time be your commute to work. Make accommodations for prayer – after all, this is your personal time with Him!
Conclusion: Serpent On The Pole – Covid 19
The Serpent On The Pole: Covid-19 could quite conceivably have been a judgment, much like that in Numbers chapter 21. But even in the midst of judgments there are grace, mercy, and healing. The bronze serpent on the pole is no longer required. Instead, we “lift up” Yeshua. In taking the steps described above, instead of “looking upon the bronze serpent on the pole of judgment,” we look to Messiah Yeshua, and through him we receive healing and deliverance.
However, we require more than just physical healing. There is spiritual warfare around us, and none are exempt. In my next blog, Spiritual Warfare: Fighting God’s Way, I explain how to receive divine healing and how we must fight, using divine weapons of warfare. And, as we draw closer to Yehovah, He fights for us!
